As you know, game day is coming up this Sunday! We ran AI interviews with 30 people over the last 24 hours. We have some die-hard Eagles fans here, but we found that 41% of them expected the Chiefs to win…while on the other hand 0% of the Chiefs fans think the Eagles will win 👀

Why do people watch?
Just under half of study participants (47%) cared about the game itself as the most important aspect of the Super Bowl - the majority of the group cared more about the non-game experience (halftime show, spending time with friends/family, and the commercials)
For advertisers out there, there’s a high bar - people are depending on you to step it up this year with the commercials!

Who do people want to win?
The Philadelphia Eagles lead the pack in terms of group preferences - 57% of study participants wanted to see the Philadelphia Eagles win this Sunday, even fans who don’t usually follow the Eagles!
💬[Participant #3] “Kansas City, they’re going for the three-peat, but we’re a hungrier team. We want this more - Philadelphia wants this more. There’s a different kind of pressure when the stakes are this high…”
💬[Participant #4] “We want the Philadelphia Eagles to win because I'm tired of seeing Kansas City win all the time. Even though I normally don't go for the Eagles because they are in the Cowboys division and I usually want to see them do bad, I want to see them do good this Sunday.”

Even though Philadelphia Eagles were the group favorite, 66% of study participants thought that the Kansas City Chiefs would win 🫢
Even 41% of participants who wanted the Philadelphia Eagles to win thought that the Kansas City Chiefs would win…but not a single person who wanted the Kansas City Chiefs to win thought that the Philadelphia Eagles would win.
💬[Participant #5] “Well, I believe that Kansas City will win the Super Bowl this year because I'm pretty sure they have the best record aside from the Lions this year. I would like to see the Eagles win just because I know their fans could use a win. Even though I know I think Kansas City is going to win, I don't really think they deserve to.”
This sentiment matches up to the latest odds from ESPN’s NFL analysts, 61.2% of whom favored a win by the Chiefs as of Wednesday (LINK). The odds might be closer though - the NYT is predicting 50.8% odds that the Chiefs win, as of Thursday (LINK).
Last but not least - what are people looking forward to snacking on?!
WINGS - wings were the favorite food by far, with 67% of respondents noting wings as one of their favorite Super Bowl snacks. What types of wings? We’re glad you asked! Buffalo wings appear to be the fan favorite, with barbeque wings also a good choice.
Chips and Dip were the next group favorite - salsa, nachos, guacamole, even bean dips, they’re all good options.
